Who this is for.

You have a specific concern

Painful periods, heavy bleeding, irregular cycles, pelvic pain, recurrent BV or UTI, hormonal acne, or any other defined issue. You want a focused workup, not a general well-woman visit.

You have been told it is normal

Your symptoms have been dismissed as normal cycle variation, normal stress, or normal aging. You know your body and you know it is not. You want a clinician who actually investigates.

You want a second opinion

You have been seen by another provider and the plan does not feel right. Or you want a fresh set of eyes before committing to a treatment. I do consultations for that purpose.

You need a workup before deciding

You are weighing treatment options and want a clinician who lays out the evidence, the trade-offs, and the timeline. Not a clinician who pushes one option because it is the easiest to bill.

What is included.

Focused clinical history

I take the time to understand the specific concern, the timeline, what has been tried, and what has not worked. The history is where most diagnoses are made.

Targeted exam and workup

The exam and labs match the presenting concern. Not a default panel. I order what your case needs.

Differential diagnosis and explanation

I tell you what I am thinking, what I am ruling in, and what I am ruling out. You should know the reasoning behind the workup before you do the workup.

Treatment options with the evidence

When the workup is complete, I walk you through the options. The evidence behind each one. The expected timeline. The trade-offs. You make the decision with full information.

Coordination of care

Some problems require imaging, biopsy, or specialist evaluation. I coordinate the referrals and stay involved in the follow-through.

Written plan and clear next steps

You leave with the plan in writing. What to do, when to follow up, what to watch for, and when to call sooner.

My approach.

A problem-focused visit is not a smaller version of a preventive visit. It is a different kind of work. The history is more detailed. The exam is more specific. The differential matters. The workup has to fit the case, not the schedule.

I built this visit type because most women with a defined reproductive health concern do not need a 45-minute well-woman visit. They need 30 minutes of focused work on the specific problem, with the right workup ordered and a plan that actually addresses the issue. That is what I do here. If the concern is more complex than a single problem-focused visit can address, I tell you upfront and we build a plan from there.
