What is included.
Prenatal medical consultation
When a midwife identifies a medical concern that needs evaluation, I see the pregnant patient for the workup and consultation. The midwife stays in the loop and continues the primary care.
Documentation and communication
I document carefully and communicate clearly with the midwife. The family does not have to translate between providers or carry the records back and forth.
Respect for the model
I do not take over. The midwife is the primary caregiver. I am the medical partner. The lanes stay clear.

I know what midwives can do, what they cannot do, and where the medical partnership matters most. I do my part with respect for the model, the midwife, and the family. The lanes stay clear.
