Practice Policies

How I work, so you know what to expect before you book.

What your visit includes

  • A full review of your history and your concerns
  • A written plan in your after-visit summary
  • Any labs or imaging I order at the visit
  • Your recheck date, set before you leave
  • 3 portal messages to ask about the plan we made

Portal messaging

I answer every message myself. No staff, no call center. To protect the quality of my answers, each paid visit includes 3 portal messages.

How I count them: the 3 messages are the ones you send. My replies never count. If I ask you a question and you answer it, your answer does not count either.

What your 3 messages cover

  • Questions about the plan documented at your visit
  • Clarifying a medication I already started
  • Scheduling, receipts, records, and pharmacy corrections, which I answer without counting them

What needs a new visit

  • New symptoms or a new concern
  • Medication or dose changes
  • New lab orders
  • Full review of your results

When you use your 3 messages, or when a question needs clinical judgment, I send you a booking link instead of an answer. Decisions about your body belong in a documented visit, not a message thread.

Labs and orders

I order labs at visits. Every order ties to a documented plan and a recheck date. I set your recheck interval before you leave, and we book the recheck visit then. I do not release standing monthly orders through the portal.

Results

I release every result with my written interpretation.

When we recheck

Questions about your results draw from your 3 messages. A full walkthrough of a panel gets a 15-minute results review visit.

Response times

  • I answer portal messages within 2 business days
  • I check messages Monday through Friday during business hours
  • I do not monitor the portal at night, on weekends, or on holidays

Urgent and emergency care

The portal is not for urgent or emergency care. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department for chest pain, heavy bleeding, severe pain, trouble breathing, fainting, or thoughts of harming yourself.
